C/Sing Level Four Actions
Grade 4 with Service Comp's and FPRD

End Product of Grade 4: "Ability to do new things"
Correction Lists needed: L1C - L4, L4BRB (L&N).
Auditor Skills needed: ST 4 Auditor.

Before starting the pc on this action fill in the FES Checklist for Grades and handle anything out.

Most of the processes of Grade 4 are repetitive processes and C/S'ed as such.
Service Computation handling is of course different and is actually a RD in itself. It is run Direct Style and how to run it is described very well in the Service Comp materials.

One thing that has to be stressed is the education of the pc of terms like, Service Computation, Computation and Service Facsimile. The auditor wants a computation. He may get something that seem short of a computation, but as long as he has done a full indoctrination he takes whatever he gets. This due to the fact that these computations are "aberrated think" anyways and you do take the pc's data. It may make perfectly sense to the pc and when run.

C/Sing Fixated Purpose RD

Before starting the pc on this action fill in the FES Checklist for FPRD and handle anything out.

This RD is optional and can be run at different points. The pc should be able to run whole-track. There is a Past-track Remedy  in the Trouble Shooter. Pc's drug case should be fully handled as well. It is best run after Grade 2 and fits in well after Grade 4 as well. It is a Major Rundown and as such it is never given in the middle of a Grade or any other RD in progress. If Grade 2 reveals the need for FPRD you still complete Grade 2 entirely before putting the pc on FPRD. It is usually given when a Folder Error Summary reveals several or many evil purposes expressed by the pc. These should be listed and directly addressed as part of the RD. Also it is used to handle troublesome areas and areas with many conflicts, such as troubled marriages. Also pc's who can't seem to move onto the Advanced Levels after attaining Clear (stalled Clears) are often given FPRD with excellent results.

What the C/S would watch for when C/Sing FPRD is listed in "FPRD - Additional Data" and in the RD itself. Also this FES Checklist should be filled in as part of making sure the case is ready. In the auditor, watch out for any weak points in his confessional procedure. The rules for C/Sing Confessional auditing applies for FPRD as well.  Much of the basic data are contained in ST2, Confessionals and the auditor should be crammed on that if weak.

EP of a Single FPRD Form
The Fixated Purpose Rundown is an unlimited process. In other words, a person could receive Fixated Purpose RD auditing any number of times on different areas, with an EP achieved for each Fixated Purpose RD form done.
It is usually done to handle a special area of complaint.

Example: A pc is having trouble with her marriage. She is audited on the Fixated Purpose RD Basic Form, attests to it, and is then run on a Fixated Purpose RD Second Dynamic Form. On completion of this she is doing very well and her marriage is fully and happily straightened out. She can attest to completion of "Fixated Purpose RD, Second Dynamic Form."

When the person being audited on the Fixated Purpose Rundown has been successfully completed on the last question of a particular form, the following indicators should be present:

1. The Tone Arm action has flattened off.
2. There is a marked shift of viewpoint  with one or many cognitions about the subject that was being handled. It could be  "being free from having to restrain oneself from committing harmful acts", etc. This would be a very big essential cognition, or a number of them.

When these points are clearly accomplished  the pc may attest to the completion of that form. If these points are not found to be in, the auditor should assess a FPRD Correction List and handle it M3 to an F/Ning list. If the full EP is still not present, the case needs to be studied and a Folder Error Summary done. You would use the data obtained from the correction list Assessment and the data found by the folder study to program pc for any needed repair and then to complete that Fixated Purpose Rundown form to the full EP.

EP of FPRD Program
Completing a whole program of actions is a different matter than completing one form.

A stalled case, for example, may need a program that consists of several Fixated Purpose Rundown forms (each carried to EP), followed by False Data Stripping and then Word Clearing Intensive.

The overall program would be ended, and the pc sent to declare to the program, when the end phenomena of that whole program is attained. This would mean achieving the end product that program was intended to get and would include a marked rise in the person's personality test (OCA) from the range it was in before the program was begun.

Before pc is sent to Attest the C/S has to make sure the pc has made the Grade. This should be expressed in good TA action worked into the Grade and worked out of it. The cognitions expressed should be relevant to Ability attained - not something else.

Ability Attained from Grade 4is the following:

Awareness
Level
Grade name Release name Audited on Prere-
quisite
Class Ability attained

  12 Production
  11 Activity
  10 Prediction

Ability
Grade 4
Ability
Release
Abilities (Service Facsimiles) Grade 3 ST 4 Moving out of fixed conditions. Ability to do new things

Re: Grade 4  - There do exist a compilation of all applicable processes developed by R. Hubbard for this Grade. They are published as HCOB of 14 November 1987. In the rare case, the pc does not make it on the processes included, the correct action would be: Go over the reports of auditing already done on the Grade (do a folder error summary). Interview pc about the difficulty. Handle any By-passed Charge (including missed earlier actions as needed). Correct anything found and flatten unflat processes. If necessary, use additional processes not run, including processes for the Grade from above HCOB.
