| Between 1965 and 1983 the late Ron Hubbard
(1911-1986) published a number of courses intended to rehabilitate extraordinary
mental abilities and powers. He claimed that all human Beings basically have
these abilities. The
courses, put together, were the upper Levels of the so-called Bridge to Total
Freedom™. Mr. Hubbard called the courses the Advanced Levels or Operating Thetan™
Levels (OT Levels).
In these Prometheus Reports we seek to sort out the content
and controversy that surround these confidential and Advanced Levels. The Grades
      and  Levels
      covered are:
Power and Power PlusRoutine Six End-WordsClearing CourseSunshine RD™ (Sunrise RD)Advanced Level One or OT IAdvanced Level Two or OT IIAdvanced Level Three or OT IIIAdvanced Level Four or Drug Rundown for OTs, OT IV.
The controversies are related to both
scientific, ethical and legal aspects. Ron Hubbard released a number
of very different versions of some of these Levels. We seek to sort this out and
compare them with other researchers findings.  Legal ControversyRon Hubbard's line-up of Advanced Levels has
been printed, according to court documents, in at least 25,000 copies and
distributed. Yet, it was sought to be held confidential by the copyright holder,
L. Ron Hubbard's Library, as "unpublished works".
The Hubbard Library was trying to take a rather
odd legal position. They were on the one hand publishing and distributing the
materials on a large scale but were at the same time trying to claim these
materials were unpublished works or trade secrets. This led to a string of law
suits in the USA and around the world. Here notoriously to a court case in Hague
in the Netherlands, home of
the court for international affairs. The outcome of all this was the ruling of the
Court in Hague. In their sentence of June 9, 1999 it was clearly determined that
the materials did not have trade secret status nor the status of unpublished
works, but had normal protection for published works under Dutch and
international copyright laws (see Hague ruling and details in appendix, especially
paragraph 13 of the ruling). In other words, in these present reports we have
to observe the normal academic rules concerning copyrights. We cannot bring the
course materials in full. But we can bring fair use quotes and refer in detail
to what the course materials state. We are under copyright law allowed to bring
exact procedures and processes as these explicitly cannot be protected under
this law but have to be passed on as new knowledge to society.
Note: Processes and procedures can only be
protected under patent laws and only for a limited number of years. This is to
make it financially attractive to do research and develop new technology.
Under patent law protection it is possible to get a reasonable return on
inventions. Inventions, processes and procedures cannot, even under the
stricter patent laws, be held proprietary forever. When the patent runs
out they are fair game. But no such patents have ever been sought or existed
for the present materials. ComparisonWe have done a comparison between Ron Hubbard's work and a number of other
researchers in the field. We have been able to obtain the
works of four other writers on the subject. We have met more cooperation when it comes to these
authors' works.
They are: Jeff Filbert. Publication: 'Excalibur
Revisited' (1982).L. Kin. Publication: 'From the Bottom to the
Top - The Way Out' (1992).
The Pilot. Publication: 'Super Scio' (1997-99).
Some of Captain Bill Robertson's works.
These four researchers have made their
materials available on the Internet and in books and do not contest fair use
quotes of extensive nature for this study. The Editors.   | | Quick

           Power and R6-EW
Power was first released in 1965
as Grade Five. Shortly after Power Plus was released as Grade Five A.
R6-EW is a Solo-auditing routine that can be done by advanced students to get to
Clear.
The report covers the exact processes and research done by 4 researchers in this
field.
 Clearing
Course
Mr. Hubbard's version was released in
1966. It is a Solo-auditing procedure leading to the state of Clear. Today this
has mainly been replaced by other methods of bringing about the state of Clear.
It is however still being used as an Alternative Route. The report covers 4
researchers' works.
 Advanced
Level One
 This report covers different versions
of Mr. Hubbard's OT I and also Filbert's and L. Kin's OT I. In addition it
covers a RD called Sunshine RD™ from 1981, which is very similar and fits well in
here. Due to trademark issues it's called the Sunrise
      Rundown in some materials.
 Advanced
Level Two
This report covers Mr. Hubbard's 'OT
II'. It also covers interesting research by Jeff Filbert, The Pilot and L.
Kin.
 Advanced
Level Three
 This report covers all serious
materials and research we have been able to find on the subject. The subject of
AL III is also called 'The Wall of Fire'. By putting it all together this report
may become a classic. Researchers covered are L. Kin, Jeff Filbert, The Pilot
and, of course, Ron Hubbard.
 Advanced
Level Four This report covers
handling of drugs, especially on an advanced level. The Level is also called
the Pre-OT Drug Rundown. Appendix The
