Ron Hubbard's OT One
Version from 1968
In this 1968 version the Solo-auditor has to have completed the Solo Auditors Course as the action is started with Flying Rudiments. As the handwritten illustration shows it's an authentic Ron Hubbard process or OT Drill. There were at least one maybe two later versions written by someone else. But we recommend this authentic set of instructions.
Fair use quote from the original instructions that It says: "This section is done outside in the Open Air. |
This action is done in model session. Even though the actual Level is done outside the auditing room in a busy public place, such as an airport, shopping mall, train station, etc. the session form is still kept as far as beginning and ending each session. The Solo-auditor starts on the Meter to ensure F/N VGI. He flies the rudiments as need to get that.
With that done he gets the session
instructions. They are usually kept in a protective plastic cover as they are
taken outdoors.
Besides the instructions the Solo-auditor brings along a clip board with a
supply of worksheets on it. He keeps it all in a brief case or handbag for
convenient transportation.
Ron Hubbard welcomes the Solo-auditor with, among other things, these
instructions:
"It is not the intention of this section to
exteriorize anyone but if it
happens don't worry about it or fool around with the fact."
"A great many phenomena (strange things) can happen while doing these
drills if they are done honestly."
"If one of these drills turns on a somatic, the drill should turn it off if
continued.
Good Luck!
Ron"
Here is an account of the actual procedure and actions to take:
1. The Solo-auditor is to walk around in a crowded place and count bodies until
he encounters a cognition.
He notes his actions, the count, etc. on the clip board and especially notes
the cognition.
2. Now the Solo-auditor concentrates on observing female bodies. He/she seeks out large female bodies and small female bodies and keeps this type of observation up until he/she has a cognition. Notes are kept on the clip board as under #1.
3. Next
the Solo-auditor concentrates on observing male bodies. He/she seeks out
large male bodies and small male bodies and keeps this type of observation up
until he/she has a cognition. Notes are kept on the clip board.
4. The Solo-auditor is to find a very crowded place. He/she notes the people as
a crowd or group. Then he/she pays attention to the individual people making up
that crowd. He keeps up this type of shift of focus until he/she has a
cognition. The Solo-auditor may have to shift back and forth several or many times.
Notes are kept as above.
5. The Solo-auditor finds a place to sit in a
public place. This can be a public bench, a table in a restaurant or whatever.
There has to be an open view of people things and environment.
The drill is simple: the Solo-auditor simply spots things and people he/she is
not. He/she keeps this up to cognition. Notes are kept as above.
6. The Solo-auditor finds a seat where he/she can observe a number of
people undisturbed and unnoticed.
The Solo-auditor spots things and people he/she can have. This is done to cognition.
Notes are kept as above.
7. The Solo-auditor notes some physical thing about
self he/she doesn't like. At the same time notes what body part that is related
to.
Then, observing people, the Solo-auditor notes that same body part in them. This
can be one (same) body part in many different people; then a new body part, etc. The
Solo-auditor can
imagine doing some change to that body part - his own or the other person's
- such as nose, arm, stomach, etc.
He/she keeps this up to cognition. Notes are kept as above.
8. Solo-auditor observes people and is to find
things that are not wrong with them. This is done to cognition. Notes are kept.
9. Solo-auditor walks among people, such as down a street, inside a shopping mall
etc. Solo-auditor is to note people walking towards him/her; then notice someone
walking away, then someone walking toward him/her, etc. This is done to cognition. Notes
are kept.
10. Solo-auditor walks among people and pays attention to "how people stick to the ground" and
their sense of weight. This is done to cognition. Notes are kept.
11. Solo-auditor spots importances in people while looking at them. This is done
to cognition. Notes are kept.
12. Solo-auditor looks around and finds spaces and find places where there are no persons.
This is done to cognition. Notes are kept.
13. Solo-auditor walks around and notices where there are people. This is done to cognition. Notes
are kept.
End of OT I.
Note: Each OT I session can consist of one or more of these actions. It is rarely necessary, but if the Solo-auditor is comfortable with Rehab procedure it is OK to find which section(s) is/are overrun and do the needed rehab in session Solo on the Meter after coming back from the walkabout action.
